Kenneth R. "Kenny" Crites, 69, of Olney, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastors Jim Rue, Bob Teel and Ben Woollard officiating. Burial in Eureka Cemetery, south of Claremont, IL.

Mr. Crites was born on February 2, 1940, in Richland County, the son of Charlie and Marie (Shake) Crites. He married Janice (Teel) Crites on July 17, 1959, in Olney. She survives.

He was a farmer and a member of Eureka Church of Christ.

Mr. Crites is survived by his wife, Janice Crites, of Olney; son, Stan Crites and his wife, Mary, of Olney; daughter, Deb Brown and her husband, Jeff, of Auburn; son, Tim Crites and his wife, Anne, of Olney; sisters, Norma Umfleet and her husband, Jack, of Olney; brother, Richard Crites and his wife, Connie, of Roanoke, Va.; and grandchildren, Dustin and Andrew Crites, Ryan and Tyler Brown, and Elizabeth and Katie Crites.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
