Charles N. Yonaka, 78, of Berryville, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor David Cogdill officiating. Burial in Shiloh Cemetery.

Charles was born February 2, 1936, in Richland County, the son of Howard Henry and Geneva (Weigel) Yonaka. He married Iris Faye Higgins on October 9, 1954. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2012.

Mr. Yonaka is survived by son, Steven Ray Yonaka, of Berryville; son, Howard Henry Yonaka, of Claremont; grandchildren, Misty Melton and husband, John, of Olney, Billie Jo Yonaka, of Olney, Joni Booth, of Olney, and Charles E. Yonaka, of Olney; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Iris Faye (Higgins) Yonaka.
