Peggy L. Gardner, 57 of Olney, died Friday at Methodist Hospital of Indiana in Indianapolis.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. Randy Grimmett presiding. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Gardner was born in Cisne on July 2, 1936, the daughter of Don and Mary Esther (Lehwald) Williams. She married Gary Gardner on July 19, 1959.

She was a nurse and also worked at the Olney Trust Bank and was part-owner of Rusk & Williams, Inc. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Olney.

In addition to her  husband, Gardner is survived by a son, Steven, Olney; daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Cindy) Brian, Terre Haute, Ind.; two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.
