Dorothy I. Wendling, 77, of Olney passed away at 11:43 AM on September 1, 2013 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Dorothy was born March 24, 1936 in Richland Co., IL to parents August J. and Clara (Poehler) Wendling.

Dorothy enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She was very active in the life of the Lutheran Church. Dorothy started out her working life in the telephone company and ended at Murvin Oil Company after a long career as an office secretary.

She is survived by Brother, Ralph Wendling and wife Janet of Olney; Brother, Kenneth Wendling and wife Virginia of Taylorville; Sister, Marjorie White of Springfield; Brother, Curtis Wendling of Olney; and several nieces and nephews

Preceded in Death by Parents, Brother-in-law Harold White, and Sister-in-law, Betty.

Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney.  Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
