Donald William Scherer, age 79, most recently of Sebring, Florida, passed away September 11, 2016. Don was born January 28, 1937 in Olney, Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Berry) Scherer of Olney and sister, Rosemary Higgins also of Olney.

He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl Tuttle and Lisa Reaves, both of Houston, Texas; brother, James Scherer of Sebring, FL and sisters, Shirley Holt of Newton, IL and Pat Van Cleve of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren Justin and Kevin Reaves and Katherine and Grace Tuttle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service in celebration of his life and witness to the resurrection at Woodforest Presbyterian Church, Houston. In loving memory of Don, donations may be made to Woodforest Presbyterian Church, 15330 Wallisville Road, Houston, TX 77049, in his name.
