Timothy F. Newton, 69, of Decatur, passed away May 10, 2006 in McKinley Court. Memorial service at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial in North Fork Cemetery.

Timothy was born July 10, 1936 in Olney the son of Frank and Edith Newton. He married Geraldine Scott in 1955.

He was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God. He volunteered at the Water Street Mission. He enjoyed fishing. He retired as a draftsman from A. E. Staley Manufacturing Company after 32 years of service.

Surviving is his wife Geraldine of Decatur, children Susan Gray and husband Doug of Decatur, Jeff Newton and wife Audra of Decatur, and Laura Vanderlaan and husband Greg of Decatur, brother Mike Newton of Houston, TX, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Benjamin Newton.
