Harry E. Jones, 68, of Olney, died Sunday, October 10, 2004, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Church of Grand Prairie in rural Dundas with Minister Tim Bursott officiating.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Mr. Jones was born on May 27, 1936, in Richland County, the son of Oscar and Anna (Iaggi) Jones. He married LaVern Johnson on July 27, 1958. She survives.

He was a farmer and worked at GSI in Newton. He was a member of church of Grand Prairie in rural Dundas. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He enjoyed his life with his family and friends. He never knew a stranger and tried to help everyone he knew. He also enjoyed going to auctions, his family, grandchildren and his farm.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, LaVern Jones, of Olney; a son, Edward R. Jones and his wife, Beth, of Olney; a daughter, Shelley R. Madron and her husband, Gene, of Olney; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; an aunt, Genevieve Shuler, of Olney; and two grandchildren, Quinten Jones and Daniel Madron.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
