Amelia “Joann” Henman Peer, age 81 of Bridgeport, passed away early Saturday morning, December 12, 2015 at AperionCare-Bridgeport. She was born December 27, 1933 in Mt. Erie, IL to Bruce and Martha (Enlow) Henman.

Joann had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for many years. She retired from Baker Oil Tools of Olney. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving family includes one daughter, Tonya Peer of Highland Beach, FL; two sisters,  Sandy Stivers and her husband Jerry of Sumner and Paula Lemke of Olney; one brother, Mike Henman of Tennessee; one grandson, Shawn Yates and his wife Rosie of Corpus Christy, TX; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Martha Henman; two sons, Rick Peer and Mark Yates; one daughter, Pam Yates; two sisters, Patsy Jane Henman and Regina DeGroot and one brother, Jerry Henman.

There will be no formal services locally. As per her wishes, her body will be cremated.
