Judy Lovelace (Bass)

Judy Lovelace Bass, 45, El Reno, Okla., died Friday, Oct. 13, 1989 at Park View Hospital in El Reno, Okla.  Memorial services at the First Presbyterian Church with Revs. J. Michael Pulsifer, Jim Chamblee and Lewis Andrew officiating. Private graveside services at El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Okla.

Mrs. Bass was born in Salem, Ill., May 16, 1944. She married Jerry Bass and he survives.

She attended public schools at Olney and was the valedictorian of her graduating class. Mrs. Bass was a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's and master's degree in French.

She taught French in Moore Public Schools and at the University of Oklahoma before coming to El Reno in 1971. She served as the assistant to the business manager at El Reno Junior College.  She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She was a past president of the Damrosch Music Club and the Associate Arts Council.

Survivors, including her husband, are a son, Whit and a daughter Katie, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hawkins of Trinity, Texas; two brothers, Gene Lovelace of Indianapolis, Ind. and Whitfield Hawkins, Anna, Ill.; and a sister Jeni Kessler, Boca Raton, Fla.
