Betty Seesengood (Foxworth)

Betty (Seesengood) Foxworth, 74 of Rapid City, South Dakota died April 24, 2018.

Betty was born on August 8, 1943 in Olney, Illinois  to Joseph J. and Mary V. (Jenner) Seesengood where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1961.

Betty then joined the United Sates Army WAC Corp. This is where she met the love of her life, James Foxworth Sr. in 1962. They were married March 9, 1963. On January 11, 1964, their first son James F. Foxworth Jr was born. They lived in Columbus, GA. James Sr. was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. They then transferred duty stations to Fort Ord, CA. Where their second son Joseph was born on March 24, 1966. They were sent back to Ft. Benning, GA. where Rebecca was born on June 11, 1968. In 1969 they transferred to Germany; and on December 20, 1970, Reginna (Tina) was born. James and Betty retired from the Military in 1982, and returned to Columbus, GA. Betty worked for the Columbus Tech Community College as an accountant. They then moved to Seale, AL in 1996, to a small 10-acre farm. They sold the farm in 2006 and moved to Rapid City, SD. Betty fully retired and enjoyed, reading, her family, cats, and building puzzles in the winters.

Betty is survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Seesengood; son Joseph Foxworth; granddaughter Tina Jo Fetters; brother Kenny Ray, and sisters Maxine and Mabel.

Graveside service at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

Janice Bagwell (Ma) (1961)

Sorry to hear that Betty has passed away.  Glad to hear she had a happy life and so many children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.  She was a nice person.
