Patricia Daron, 79, Shreveport, Louisiana, passed from this life to the next on Friday night, August 3, 2012. Funeral services at Kings Highway Christian Church, with Pastor, Dr. David Brice, officiating.  Interment at Centuries Memorial Cemetery in Shreveport.

She was a wife and mother, a competitor and friend. Patricia was born, daughter of Sidney O. Timmons and Nadine F. Person Timmons in Van, Texas, on March 6, 1933, and was raised in Illinois and loved music.

She started college on a music scholarship but soon turned to nursing and graduated from Washington University as a R.N, practiced nursing in Shreveport for many years and later became licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator. She played bridge throughout her life, but in recent years moved to a higher level of play in duplicate bridge, where she achieved a silver life master recognition.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Daron;  son, Tom; her parents and brother, Sidney Olen Timmons, Jr.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Mike and Ann Daron of Monroe, LA., and, James and Jan Daron of Wilmington, N.C., also two granddaughters, Leslie Hughes and Caitlyn Daron, and Tom’s widow, Debra Glenn. Pat has three stepchildren as well; Paul Daron of Baton Rouge, LA., John Daron of Houston, TX. and Marie Peterson of Baton Rouge, LA.
