Nixola Cassady (Hamilton)

Wilma N. (Cassady) Hamilton, 93, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. Wilma was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Olney, Illinois, to the late Harry and Flossie (McWilliams) Cassady.

She was a beautician and an avid bowler. Wilma loved the beach, the ocean and the yearly trips to Florida she took with her family.

Surviving Wilma are five daughters, Martha (Bob) Froehle of Evansville, Vincie McPike and Marilyn (Don) Feaster, both of Bloomington, and Diana (Terry) McDaniel and Donna (Ron) Bowman, both of Evansville; two sons, Carl Hamilton, Jr. and Gregory (Karen) Hamilton, both of Evansville; a brother, Douglas Cassady of Olney, Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Carl Hamilton Sr. in 2012; three sisters, Peg Marshall, Virginia Collings and Patricia Carroll; two brothers, Vincent and Vernon Cassady; a great grandson and a son-in-law.
Funeral services at Pierre Funeral Home, entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
