Goldie Mae Walker Eckl, 69, of Olney, died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

A memorial service at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Baker officiating. A private family interment at a later date.

Ms. Eckl was born on April 29, 1941, the daughter of Kell and Norma (Henry) Walker. She was divorced.

She was a retired administrative assistant for George Shipley and was head of the Presidential Office of International Space for University in France. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by her father, Kell Walker, of Olney; life-long friend, Sam Cunningham, of Olney; daughter, Jennifer Fleming and her husband, James, of San Diego, Calif.; son, Timothy Della Barba and his fiancé, Lauren King, of Bridge Water, Mass.; brother, Kelly Walker and his wife, Betty, of Derby, Kan.; and grandchildren, Sophia Fleming and Matteo Della Barba.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
