Jerome Cleveland Shultz, age 73 of Albion, IL passed from this life to the next on February 19, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon, IL.  Visitation at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, military rites conducted at the funeral home.  To honor Jerome’s wishes, his body will be cremated with burial at a later date.

Jerome was born in Richland County on January 22, 1943 to Edmund and Fannie Marie (Cazel) Shultz.  He married Carolyn Hortin on April 12, 1986 at the Ridge Church in Edwards County.

Jerome worked for over 25 years at Citizens’ National Bank of Albion in maintenance.  He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Albion VFW and the Olney American Legion.  His hobbies included carpentering, wood working and electronics.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Albion, one daughter, Cassie (Matthew) Gluck of Belleville, IL, one son, Kevin Shultz of Albion, one grandson, Noah Gluck, two sisters: Barbra (Robert) McEachin and Anita Shultz, all of Olney, and three brothers: Thomas Shultz and James Shultz, both of Olney and Robert Shultz of Pismo Beach, CA.
