Bob Wilson

Robert E. Wilson, 65, of Blountsville, Alabama died of kidney failure Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the V.A. hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Robert was born on May 26, 1941, in OIney, Illinois a son of Ralph Wilson and Margaret Ruth (Herrin) Wilson. He first married Edna L. Campbell and to this union were born;  Elizabeth, Robert, Stephen, Margaret and Susan. Robert later married Sandra Fay (Newlin) Brooks, and adopted her two daughters Tammy and Rebecca.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962 during the Vietnam War.

Robert and his family moved from Ohio to Kissimmee, in 1972. Shortly afterwards, Robert started his own construction business, and would still find time to coach Little League & Babe Ruth Baseball.

To many, Robert was a hardworking man, with a very giving heart. Though several heart-attacks and open heart surgeries couldn't keep Robert down, he enjoyed being a grandpa to 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Wilson; children, Elizabeth Evans, Robert Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, all of St. Cloud, Stephen, Kissimmee, Margaret Minyon of Ala., Tammy Wilson, California; and Susan, Houston of Ohio; three brothers, Roy & (Vivian), Ralph, of Ohio; Jim of Illinois; and sister Barbara Lietzke, Orlando; three step-brothers; William and Ronald Aldridge, Fla; and Donald Aldridge, Illinois; companion Brenda Fernandez of Ala., and several nieces & nephews.

 His parents; sister Mary Calvert, and Step-father Josh Aldridge preceded Robert, in death.

His viewing was at the Abanks Mortuary & Crematory, Birmingham, Ala. His burial was at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama . A Memorial was held in his honor at the V.A. American Legion (lakefront), Kissimmee. Mr. Wilson "Big Bob", will be missed. Thanks for your prayers and kindness, throughout the years.
