Barbara R. "Barb" Myers, 66, of Oblong, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. Funeral services at the Pulliam Funeral Home. Burial in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.

Mrs. Myers was born on March 12, 1942, in Olney, the daughter of George B. and Dorothy E. (Nicholas) Dean. She married Richard Myers in 1958.

She worked in housekeeping at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Olney, and on weekends at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Robinson for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her mother, Dorothy Dean, of Olney; son, Steve and Paula Myers, of Oblong; daughters; Peggy Price, of Oblong, and Gina Smith, of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Price, of Oblong; Colin and Austin Smith, of Indianapolis, and Lewis and Harlei Meyers, of Oblong; brothers, Tim and Rhonda Dean, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Todd and Dallas Dean, of Olney; sisters, Janice and Dan Fuschak, of Olney, and Sandy Dean, of Olney; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
