Karen worked along side her mother, co-owning Virginia's Flowers for 47 years. After the closing of her mother's flower shop, her love of flowers led her to work at Olney Greenhouse along side many friends who became family. In March, 2004, she started working at Wal-Mart where she became known as the "Donut Lady". To her co-workers she was Grandma. She was loved by all. She could brighten the darkest day and anyone's life. She was known as Grandma at Wal-Mart because she was the oldest employee. She enjoyed gardening and always had a very large garden. Her family meant everything to her. She always wanted lots of little feet running around, but God did not bless her in that way, but in many others. She loved the Lord with all she had. You could find her singing his praise any second of any day. Her favorite place was to sit in a lawn chair in her back yard under the many trees she and Guy had planted. She loved her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter as anyone should. She had the biggest heart. She would take anyone under her wing. She had many unrelated family. Her prized possessions were the forty acres of land she and Guy owned and her family. Karen was loved by all.
