Sue Marie Hicks, 73, of Danville, Illinois passed away at 10:16 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at home.

She was born August 24, 1941 in Dundas, IL a daughter of Jessie Raymond and Hazel Ione (Ireland) Harper. She married Jerald Russell Hicks April 10, 1971 in Danville. He preceded her in death September 28, 2013.

She is survived by a son, Jerry (Jackie) Hicks of Greencastle, IN, a daughter, Jennifer (James) Warren of Biloxi, MS, a sister, Jackie Ellison of Olney, IL, a brother, Terry Harper of Olney, three grandchildren, Jerry Hicks, Devon Hicks and Jeremy Crippin. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a son Donnie.

Sue worked at Crosspoint Human Services as a caregiver. She was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1961 to 1963. She loved owls and was an outstanding mom and grandma.

Graveside services at Danville National Cemetery with Chaplain Brian Manigold officiating. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 210.
