William "Bill" Black, 80, of Olney, passed away May 29, 2022 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.  Bill Black was born May 21, 1942 in Olney, IL to James and Eunice (Thomas) Black. He married Delma Earlene (Wheeler) on December 25, 1963 in Flora, IL.

Bill enjoyed oil painting and watching sports on television. He worked for the Olney Daily Mail for many years.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God.

William "Bill" Black is survived by wife of 58 years, Earlene Black of Olney; son, Marty (Jada Stark) Black of Olney; daughter, Angela (Kevin) Ireland of Mt. Carmel, IL; son, Steven Black of Olney; grandchildren, Jordan Fletcher, Mallory (Hunter) Fuller, Kaleigh Black, and Sarah Black; brother, Jim (Lynda) Black of Nashville, TN; and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Carolyn Sue Black Bare; and nephew, Kevin Bare.

The Funeral Service was held at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. Interment at Maple Dale Cemetery.
