Fay L. Coquillette (Petty) - Class Of 1906

Mrs. Fay L. (Coquilette) Petty, 67, the wife of Rev. Bert Petty, passed away last Friday evening, November 11, 1955 at Richland Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for several days. Fay was born January 1, 1888 the daughter of George and Mary B. (Price) Coquilette.

For the past 40 years, she and Rev. Petty have served the Methodist Churches in several towns throughout Illinois. They lived in retirement in their home in the Amity community since June, 1955.

Besides her husband, she leaves three children: Lt. Col. Cecil E. Petty, USAF, now serving in Tokyo; Mrs. Ellen Hendrix of Morrisonville; and Mason Petty of Urbana. There are nine grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters and a brother; Mrs. Tressie Nicholson of Olney; Mrs. Mary Horner of Clifton, CO and Zoy Coquilette of Glendale, CA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Petty were held Monday afternoon in the Amity Church with the Rev. Frank Treadway officiating. Interment was in the Amity cemetery.
