Mrs. Ethel Mae (Atkins) Lagle McDowell, 53 of Noble, Illinois died Sunday, October 2, 1960 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Ethel was born February 18,1907 a daughter of Adam C. and Daisy A. (Stoltz) Atkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marion Fiscus of Olney and Mrs. Martha Haerr of Windsor.  Also two brothers, Carl Atkins of Sumner and Estis Atkins of Claremont; and four sisters, Helen Wilson and Myrtle Byers, both of Claremont, Cora Hixon of Olney and Ruth Dishong of Hopkinsville, Ky.

Funeral services held at the Noble Funeral Home, with Rev. Jesse Kindred officiating. Burial in the North Freedom Cemetery.
