Arthur Ernest Newman, 91, of Yakima, Washington, passed away January 24, 2002. He was born September 13, 1911 in Olney, Illinois, son of Charles A. and Emelie (Fischer) Newman. He married Mary E. Skochilich August 23, 1939 in Sedro Wooley, Washington.

He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He was a school teacher.

Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Yakima, Washington.
