Jeanne C. Dehlinger, 97, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Olney.

Jeanne was born December 19, 1928 in Parkersburg, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Myrtle (Rash) Koertge. She married Alvin Leo Dehlinger on November 18, 1950, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, where they remained lifelong members. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2005.

Jeanne was primarily a homemaker and her proudest work was raising her 6 children on the family farm alongside her husband, Alvin. She held other positions and retired from the Richland County Soil Conservation District in 1995.

Jeanne enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, and cooking for large family gatherings with noodles and pies as her specialty.

Jeanne is survived by her five children, James Dehlinger and his wife, Linda, of Olney, Joyce Anderson and her husband, Lee, of Olney, John Dehlinger and his wife, Karen, of Olney, David Dehlinger and his wife, Brenda, of Olney, and Amy Daugherty and her husband, Michael, of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Myrtle Koertge; her husband, Alvin; daughter, Donna; and brother, Myrl.
