Don Kinkade

Don E. Kinkade, 77, of Newburg, Ind., and formerly of Olney, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Mr. Kinkade was born February 12, 1931, in Piper City, the son of Luther and Caroline (Wynn) Kinkade. He married Nancy Calvert.

He had worked at AMF Wheel Goods in Olney as a purchasing agent and had been a filter inspector at Champion Laboratories in West Salem, Olney Township Supervisor for 20 years and a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Olney Masonic Lodge. He brought joy to others by playing his fiddle and guitar and singing at various events throughout the Tri-State.

Mr. Kinkade was survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Kinkade, of Newburgh, Ind.; daughter, Linda Kinkade Bottorff and her husband, Craig, of Newburgh, Ind.; daughter, Amy Smith, of Newburgh, Ind.; three grandchildren, Spencer Smith and Rachel and Evan Bottorff; and sister, Etta Pampe, of Energy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Blanche Stover; and brothers, William and Clayton Kinkade.
