Betty Walker (Trout)

Betty J. Trout (nee Walker), age 91, resident of Naperville, Illinois and former resident of Geneva, Illinois (1964-2004,) passed away Sunday, March 28th 2021 at Wheaton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February, 18th 1930 in Olney, Illinois. She was born into a world reeling from the Great Depression and sadly died in the midst of the unprecedented COVID 19 pandemic.

Beloved wife of John P. Trout, whom she married in August of 1952 and preceded her in death in 2002. She was a dedicated mother to four; John S. (Lorel) Trout of Downers Grove, Illinois; David K. (Elaine) Trout of Naperville, Illinois. The late Michael P. Trout and the late James W. Trout. Betty was a loving stepmother to Aloma Balenger. She was a loving grandmother to Miranda “Randi” Gates, Larissa “Lacey” (Tyler) Toigo. Deidra “Didi” (Alex Anderson) Trout and the late Michelle (Michael) Monteen. She was a cherished great grandmother to Evan and Aubrey; Logan and Phoebe. Devoted daughter to the late Herbert and Nellie (Montgomery) Walker, dear sister of the late Ray Walker. Betty was a loving friend and offered warmth and devotion to many around her the duration of her long life.

Betty was employed as a nurse at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois for many years. She enjoyed travelling after her children were grown. She enjoyed collecting M&M’s memorabilia and watching Shirley Temple. She spent weekends hosting her grandkids and taking them to different parks and going to see movies. Betty loved to shop and spent time shopping for the perfect Christmas and Birthday gifts for her loved ones. She was skilled at knitting and frequently gave her creations as cherished gifts. She had her nose in a book and would finish magazines cover to cover to pass the time in her later years.

Betty relished in spending time with family, holidays were always special. Her presence and warm generosity spread joy and love that made cherished memories. She soaked in the smiles and laughter from those around her whenever loves ones got together.

Services held at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville, Illinois with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva, IL.
