Jerry Nichols, 74, Albion, IL, passed away on Monday January 31, 2022, at Aperion Nursing Home, Fairfield, IL. He was born January 22, 1948, in Olney, IL to Cecil and Waneta (Wells) Nichols.

Jerry was a loving man and family always came first, he loved his kids and grandkids and his dogs.  He was a hard-working man and liked to keep his home looking nice and his yard mowed.   Jerry worked as a truck driver for 42 years before retiring from Champion Laboratories. He was proud US Army veteran serving our country in Korea.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Waneta Nichols; sister, Judy Howser, two brother-in-laws; Dan Howser, Clarence Lame, sister-in-law, Rosland Nichols.

He is survived by his wife Florence (Lockheart) Nichols; two daughters, Deena (Jim) Downs, Albion, IL, Dana (Matt) Pettigrew, Geff, IL; two step-children, Jamie Burton, Danny Burton; sister, Laurena Lame, Parkersburg, IL; three brothers, Don (Gerry) Nichols, Georgetown, TX, Bob Nichols, Browns, IL and Bill (Carolyn) Nichols, Albion, IL; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody, Shayla, and five great grandchildren, Adyn, Zavior, Carley, Rymi, Austin, Hunter, George, and several nieces and nephews.

Per Jerry’s wishes he is being cremated and a memorial service will be held later.
