Nancy L. Koch (Stangle)

Nancy Louise (Koch) Stangle, age 77 of Olney, Illinois, passed away October 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on October 13, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence W. and Elvera (Ruben) Koch.

Nancy was a very kind and caring person who would help anyone she could, and sometimes showing the mischievous side to her that was often funny.  She was loved by many friends and family, but most important to her was her family. She was very close to her children and grandchildren.

Nancy owned and operated Nancy’s Beauty Salon for several years, she was a bank teller at the First National Bank in Bloomington, Illinois, and in her younger years as a waitress at Rieben’s Restaurant in Olney. Nancy attended Trinity Lutheran Church. You would often find Nancy playing YATZEE or watching HGTV or doing crafts.

Nancy is survived by: son, Brian Stangle of Olney, Illinois, daughter, Julie Stangle of Olney, Illinois: grandchildren, Kevin (Theresa) Stangle, Austin Childers, Amber (Scott) Colgrove, Hailee Stangle: great-grandchildren, Sophia, Delilah, Calista, Victor and Felix: nephews, Jason Mattoon, Tony Mattoon, Jeremy Stangle, Jason Stangle and former husband Kenneth Stangle

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Patsy Mattoon.
