Paul Edward "PJ" Harmon, Jr., 65, of Olney, IL, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.

Paul “PJ” was born March 10, 1961 in Olney, IL to parents, Paul and Marjorie (Hunt) Harmon. He married Peggy Sue Sanders on November 15, 1980, she survives.

Paul was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed making arrowheads and carving objects out of slate and stone.

Paul was someone who people looked up to. He had many skills and mentored many people, but he also had a humorous side and never met a stranger.

Paul especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted family man and will be sorely missed.

Paul is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue Harmon of Olney; daughter, Tiffany Sue Lane and husband James of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Tenzley Sue Lane and Coleson Edward Lane; mother, Marjorie Strong of Olney; sister-in-law, Clara Foster; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Harmon, Sr.; brother, Brad Harmon; mother-in-law, Patricia Davis; stepfather, David Strong; and brothers-in-law, Ray Foster and Bob Jackson.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial Services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM at VFW Post 4226 in Olney, IL., with a visitation one hour before the service.
