Tony F. Martin, age 74, of Quincy, formerly of Olney, IL, died December 14, 2025, at Evelyn's House Hospice (affiliate of Barnes Jewish Hospital) in Creve Coeur, MO.
Tony was born July 1, 1951, in Olney, IL, to Lester Harvey and Patience June (Montgomery) Martin. He married Patricia Rose Nease on February 27, 1971, in Olney. She survives.
Tony graduated from East Richland High School, Olney, IL, in 1969. He graduated from Nashville Auto-Diesel College in 1970. He also served in the Illinois National Guard from 1971-1977. Tony started his work career in the Parts Dept. at Coil-Thomas Chevrolet, Flora, IL. He then worked for 28 years at Hooker Implements, the John Deere Dealership, in Olney, IL. He started in the Parts Dept. and worked his way up to Store Manager. He went on to work at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney until his retirement in 2016.
Tony had a strong work ethic and was devoted to his family. He had a good sense of humor and never met a stranger. He loved anything John Deere and was an avid car enthusiast. After moving to Quincy, he joined Great River Corvette Club where he served as President for 3 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Patti, include: two children, Eric (Sara) Martin of Quincy, and Kiley Trame of Columbia IL; four grandchildren, Lila Martin, Hannah Martin, Gavin Trame, and Gwendolyn Trame; two sisters, Norma (Jim) Lonsdale of Glendale, AZ, and Mary Ann (Pete) Crouse of Pleasant Shade, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by: his parents; an infant brother; and sisters, Bonnie Martin and Peggy Taylor.
Visitation: 12:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Service: 2:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Drish officiating. Inurnment to follow at Greenmount Cemetery.

So sad to hear this! Tony was a Good friend and more importantly, a Great person! Graduauted in 1969 with Tony. Coached Tony and Patty's girl Kiley in Soccer. My son Kyle played alongside. I am so sorry for you Patty. You take care!!
