Margaret “Maggie” Tribout (nee McRae), born August 27, 1955, in Olney, IL, died on Friday, March 24, 2023, at her residence in Belleville, IL.

Maggie led a very interesting and colorful life and loved to learn. She traveled across the country and even overseas. She was a professor of Psychology for Southwestern Illinois College as well as the University of Phoenix. She was inspired by the idea of “Pay it forward” and got joy from practicing the theory. In that spirit instead of flowers find someone in need and help them out.

Maggie was preceeded in death by her husband, Larry Tribout; her parents, Noel McRae Jr. and Peggy Worthall (nee Amerman).

Surviving her are her son Michael Todd (Nicole Large) Desloge, MO; daughters Amanda Bailey and Nicole Sevier-Rudd Belleville Il; grandsons: Clayton Misturak , Dominick McRae, and Dylan Todd. two fur babies Nina and Lily. sisters: Holly (McRae) Jones, Becky (McRae) Canaday, Deann (Charles) Almond (Arkansas), Brother David McRae (Rhonda), and many other friends and family that will miss her.

Margaret chose to be cremated quietly with a celebration of life to be held for her on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 4:00 PM at League Lounge; 1501 W. Main St., Belleville, IL 62220.

Another celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Mojac’s; 1100 E. B St., Belleville, IL 62220. Both celebrations will have a balloon release at 6:00 PM.
