Donald Dunahee, 87, of Calhoun, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Donald was born September 20, 1938 to the late Ivan and Mae (Grove) Dunahee and was the youngest of five siblings. Donald married the love of his life, Barbara Jane Negley on July 18, 1965, and together they built a life, rooted in family and hard work.  He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather, and he found his greatest joy in time spent with those he loved.

Donald was a farmer his entire life. Farming was more than his work; it was who he was. His strong work ethic, dedication to the land, and sociable personality defined him and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Donald will be remembered as a great dad and a great grandpa. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and community.

He is survived by his children, Greg Dunahee and Melinda Smith (Jason), and his two beloved granddaughters, Payton Jane Smith and Reese Ann Smith, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
