Linda Sue Brown, 84, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Linda was born February 15, 1942 in Olney, the daughter of Ralph and Emily (Ellen) Harnishfeger. She married Larry J. Brown on September 9, 1961 in Shawneetown, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2014.

Linda enjoyed her life and her family, especially her grandkids. Linda loved animals, and she had numerous beloved pets throughout her lifetime. Linda worked at Reynold's Red and White, Sav-A-Lot, and later at the cafeteria at RMH, where she was able to get most of her gossip. She was a social butterfly, and her last hoorah was being elected Valentine Queen of the Nursing Home for her outgoing nature. Linda enjoyed attending country music concerts with her good friend, Jan Crites, and listening to the love of her life, Larry play the guitar.

Linda is survived by her children, Robin (Donna) Brown of Olney, Arron (Linda) Brown of Olney, Sheila Pianfetti of Olney; grandchildren, Grace Pianfetti, Ian Pianfetti, and Miles Pianfetti; great grandchildren, Alexis, Ashton, Brayden and their mother, Sara Brown, and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Brenda (Matt) Knuckles and family; and her lifelong dear friend, Dorothy Douthit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Lois Smith and her grandson, Dustin Brown.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

The funeral service will be held for Linda at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the funeral home.

Cremation Rites will be accorded following services, and interment will be held at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
