Mrs. Hazel (Hughes) Aderton, 59 of Amarillo, Texas, widow of Ellis H. Aderton, died Sunday afternoon, April 26, 1959 in St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo.

Mrs. Aderton was born November 22, 1899 in Richland County Illinois, daughter of Frank and Mary Frances (Armstrong) Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis H. Aderton in January 1959.

Mrs. Aderton is survived by a son, Ellis H. Aderton, Jr. of Amarillo and two grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. R.S. Shatto of Noble, IL, Mrs. Emma Beack of Amarillo, Mrs. Florence Heiter and Mrs.Vada Gibson, both of Clinton, IL.

Mrs. Aderton had been a resident of Amarillo since 1931. She was a housewife and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Funeral rites conducted in Griggs Pioneer Chapel by Dr. Lynn B. Rankin, Associate Minister of First Presbyterian Church. Interment in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo.
