Julietta E. "Babe" Roth, 79, of Olney, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Ms. Roth was born on June 23, 1929, in Richland County, the daughter of Martin and Ida (Hahn) Roth.

She was a retired court reporter for the State of Illinois for 35 years.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney; a member of Illinois Quarter Horse Association, AQHA and local horse clubs; and an Olney Girls Softball Coach for 10 years.

Ms. Roth is survived by her son, Mike Riggs, of Olney; son, Bill Riggs and his wife, Marilyn, of Olney; son, Lynn Riggs and his wife, Jennifer, of Huntsville, Ala.; daughter, Kathy Petty and her husband, Joe, of Bridgeport; son, Pat Riggs and his wife, Libby, of Olney; brothers, Harold and Vincent Roth, both of Ida, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marjorie and Roberta; and brothers, Jerome, Virgil and Gene.
