Evelyn R. Germer, 87, of Olney died Friday, August 29, 2003 at Sumner Care & Rehab Center in Sumner.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Germer was born on October 22, 1915 in Richland County, the daughter of Ansel and Lutie (Head) Roberts. She married Jack P. Germer.  He preceded her in death on June 16, 1966.

She was a teacher in Olney schools. She received a master's degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olney and a member of Esther Circle.

Mrs. Germer is survived by five sons, John Germer and his wife, Evelyn of Jacksonville, Fla., Andrew Germer and his wife, Donna of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard Germer and his wife, Emily of Cumming, Ga., Chris Germer of Olney and Jeff germer and his wife, Rose of Effingham; four half-sisters, Peggy Carson and her husband, Herb of Olney, Mary Jane Plummer and her husband, Sid of Olney, Virginia McIlwain of Rockford and Winifred Joiner of Carbondale, Colo.,  ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a half-brother, A.C. "Sonny"  Roberts, a sister, Eloise VanCleve and a daughter-in-law, Richelle Germer.
