Mrs. Florene (Faris) Smith, 46, of 916 East Laurel St., lifelong resident of Olney, owner and operator of Florene's Beauty Shop for many years, died this morning, April 8, 1968 at the Richland Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Smith was born here on September 6, 1921, daughter of John A. and Ida Schmoker Faris, and spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church of Olney.

She is survived by her husband, William M. Smith, Jr., two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Powell and Mrs. Ron (Angela) Mason, both of Olney; one son, Lon Smith, at home; her mother, Mrs. Ida Faris of Olney; a sister, Mrs. Glenn E. (Fern) Hasslinger of Olney; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services at Schaub Funeral Home with the Reverend John E. Kauffman officiating. Interment in the Crest Haven Cemetery.
