Rolla F. Stout, 48 of New Port News, Virginia died August 23, 1990 in New Port News.  Funeral services at the Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Virginia.

Mr. Stout was born June 5, 1942 at Makanda, Ill., the son of Fred and Cecil (Henderson) Stout.  In August 1952, after the death of his parents, he came to make his home with his brother Rae and Mary Stout in Olney.

Mr. Stout attended school in Olney and graduated in 1959. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1959 and retired in 1982. He was a district agent for Prudential Insurance since his retirement from the Army.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Michael Jason Stout and step-son, Charles; three brothers and five sisters, Rae and Mary Stout and Frank and Liz Stout, Olney, Fred and Betty Stout, Mt. Carmel, Almeda and Frank Farquhar, Broken Arrow, Ok, Irene and Cecil Lingle, Salem, Ella Dee Hennesy, Marion, Juanita and Ernie Black, Buncombe, Gusta and Chalsea Atkinson, Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred in 1986, one brother, Eugene Stout and one sister, Wilma Sanders and an infant sister.
