M. Eleanor (Pennington) Smith, 85 passed away October 10, 2021. Eleanor was born September 21, 1936 in Parkersburg, Illinois, to Lester and N. Lucile (nee Marlow) Pennington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Tommy S. Smith, and her son Douglas Neal Smith.

Loving mother of Deborah (Mike) Pabarcus, dear grandmother of Rachel (Nikomas) Perez, Nathan (Colleen) Pabarcus, Sarah Pabarcus and Daniel (Lindsay) Pabarcus. Great grandmother of Ashlynn Perez, Ara Perez, Ben Perez, Jeremiah Pabarcus, Halle Pabarcus, Leah Pabarcus. Dear aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Eleanor enjoyed spending her time surrounded by those she held dear. She loved having house guests, and was always cooking meals for them. She was a faithful devoted spouse, a wonderful mother, and a strong Christian woman of faith. She is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
