
Dennis James Williams, 64, of Decatur, IL, passed away June 1, 2025 at the Imboden Creek Rehab Facility in Decatur, IL. Dennis was born July 11, 1960 in Benton, IL to parents, Ernest Williams, Jr. and Mabel (Biggerstaff) Williams.
Dennis attended Olney Central College and earned a degree in woodworking before moving to Decatur and working for IBC Bakery and later he worked for Baby Talk, an early childhood development non-profit.
Dennis was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God in Decatur, IL. Prior to moving to Decatur 30 years ago, he was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Olney, IL.
Dennis enjoyed various woodworking projects, being outdoors, and loved dogs and children. He also enjoyed watching Western movies on television and was a big fan of John Wayne.
He will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, and warm smile.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Rachel Newingham and husband Jason of Decatur, IL; son, Michael Williams of San Diego, CA; mother, Mabel Williams-Campbell of Calhoun; siblings, John (Karen) Williams and Melissa Campbell; ex-wife, Annette Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Ernest Williams Jr.; brother, Eugene Williams; and Step-father, Richard Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
Interment will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Calhoun Cemetery.
