Carol Sue (Shryock) Jenkins, 84, of Cahokia, IL, born October 27, 1939, in Willow Hill, IL., to the late Roy and Catherine, (Menacher) Shryock, passed away September 4, 2024 at her home in Cahokia, IL.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was dedicated to her family. She loved spending time with them at the Jenkins & Shryock families' get togethers. Carol and her husband James enjoyed traveling together and cheering for her St. Louis Cardinals. Carol will be fondly remembered for being a generous person always helping people which was evident by her being closely involved with Kellsie's Hope. She was a long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia Heights along with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo, IL. She loved working at her jobs throughout the years retiring finally at the young age of 82.

Surviving are her Son, James L. (Karen) Jenkins of St. Charles, MO., Daughter, Sharon Jenkins of Collinsville, IL., Daughter, Mary Mueller of Highland, IL.: Grandchildren, Kevin Wheeler, Brian (Leah) Wheeler, Adam (Nicole) Jenkins, Elizabeth "Libby" Jenkins, Bryce (Alex) Mueller, Evan Jenkins, Bret Mueller, Grant Jenkins; Brother, George (Sue) Shryock, Brother, Ron (Pat) Shryock. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her dear Husband, James E. Jenkins; loving daughter Brenda Wheeler; her brothers, Leroy Shryock, Byrl Shryock and Rex Shryock; sisters, Imogene, nee Shryock, Riegel and Delores, nee Shryock, Henry.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home - Dupo, IL, and 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Dupo, IL. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am with Fr. Mark Reyling officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
