I am saddened to learn of Charlotte's passing. I hope that Terry and all those who loved her are able to find strength in each other and her memory.
I am saddeed to learn of Larry's passing. He was a classmate at Cherry Street School when my family moved to Olney in 1953 through high school. I well remember the flattop haircut and the good natured grin that are evident in both pictures above.
I wish good memories and peace to Carmen and all those who loved him and will miss him.
I'm saddened to hear of Jim Stilwell's passing last August. I knew him for only a few childhood years, but I remember him as cheerful and resourceful. I knew nothing of his eventual education, but it does not surprise me at all.
Happy Birthday, Marvin. I hope you had a great day.
My condolences to Sam's family.
Over the past almost six decades I've known Gary for his work toward our class reunions. He will be missed by his classmates. I hope that his family and loved ones can find strength in each other, as I'm sure he is missed by them much more.

Hi Marvin. In a few days you will celebrate another year. This past year has definitely been a strange one for the books. I hope you and your family are well and can be together to celebrate your special day. Happy Birthday!
There's no reason you'd remember me, but as a fellow 1962 grad, welcome.

Happy Birthday, Marvin. I hope you have a great day during these very different times.
My wife and I have recently been going through things we found stored in my mother's attic when she died sixteen years ago, and among them were two pictures clipped from the Olney Daily Mail of the 1962 Illinois
State Scholarship winners. There were eight of us, but only seven in the picture. Pat is in front, lower left. When I transferred from SIUE to ISNU as a sophomore to be with my soon to be wife who was a freshman in 1963, Pat was already there, and as I recall, she finished a master's degree before I finished my BA. I saw her only occasionally at the student union, but she was always pleased to catch up for a minute or two. It seems so long ago at the same time as seeming just yesterday. I am saddened for her husband and family and wish for them fond memories and knowledge of love.
David was a classmate from fourth grade through high school, and I've scoured my memories. For some reason I rode my bike to his house on, my memory says, East North Street in Olney, but I can't remember why. I remember David as always polite and respectful, but so much has faded. I believe it was David who told the story of being born on the coldest day in Olney's recorded history. My thoughts go out to those who loved him and will miss him. I spoke with him a few minutes at our last class reunion in 2017, and he invited me to visit next time I was in the area. I'll never know whether it could have happened.
I remember a summer afternoon in 1960 or 1961 riding up and down Main Street in Ron's 1956 Chevy "hardtop." I don't believe I ever saw him again after we graduated, but he was a friend. The obit sounds as if he had a good life with people who loved him. I cannot wish for anthing better for anyone.
I was pleased to speak with John at one of the last few class reunions. My best hopes and wishes go to his family. Marvin Doolin, class of 1962
