It took me two marriages to get it right, but I'm happy with the kids I got from the first one. Married to #2, Jeff Jacobs, for 32 years. I'm sad to say Jeff passed away January 19, 2013.

I was a social worker and counselor in Washington State and retired in 2004. I've been writing and publishing novels since 1993, and I've had eight books on Amazon's Best Selling Romances list, and six in the Amazon Top 100, the most recent reaching an Amazon ranking of #13.

I 'm one of those self-publishing authors as well as being published by traditional publishing. My major publisher now is Montlake, an Amazon publishing house. I love it that they don't care that I'm over 70! They treat me like a queen!

I also produce cover art for ebooks, and enjoy Photoshop. I now have many designs that are now gracing the covers of best selling books.

I'm still living in Washington state with son, a brother and two cats. Losing track of all the grandkids, who are added to the family in sometimes unconventional ways, and who are now producing great-grandkids.

I came from Mt. Carmel, Ill. at age 9 and lived in Olney from 4th grade through my sophomore year, when my family moved to Oklahoma City. There, I graduated from Classen High School, went to SMU in Dallas and later graduated from University of Oklahoma. Degree in Geography and Anthropology, one year of grad school before going to Colorado.

Getting my health back is a prime objective. I swim two days a week when I can, and am now up to a mile each session.

A new historical book series set in Portugal, Spain and England centering on the war between France and Britain between 1809 and 1815.

I'm currently writing a Jane Austen sequel of Pride and Prejudice, at the request of my publisher. I never thought I'd do that, but I'm loving it.

For 2016, I'm returning to Portugal and Spain for more history geeks stuff, research for my books. Daughter Lori and I are going to New Zealand in September, a bucket list thing for both of us. And I'm looking forward to a kid/grandkid/great-grandkid reunion at Christmas, the first where most of us can gather in my house for a long time.

Plenty more books planned. They're what keep me young.

We lived in a lot of places all over the country, not always by choice. But I came out West to settle down. We knew we'd found the right place when we crossed into Washington, and several years later we moved to the SW Washington area when I took a position with the state as a Social Worker. Husband and I spent five years going in different directions to work until we settled in this house and stopped the unwanted daily drive. He worked till he died. I will probably do the same-but I get to stay home to do it.

I love the mild, if rainy, climate, less than 100 miles from the Pacific Ocean and even closer to the Cascade Mountains. The kids have scattered,
mostly, so I travel to see grandkids and great-grandkids. I recently went to Kodiak Island, Alaska to meet my great-grandson Ryan, and finally met the next one, Abe (Hammie, because it fits), at Thanksgiving, 2014.
