EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Vanderburgh County Coroner says that one of the people involved in a Friday, January 24th crash in Gibson County has died.
The coroner says 53-year-old Amy Wilson of Vincennes died following her injuries in the crash that happened at the North Patoka exit of Highway 41.
The call came in around 5 p.m. Friday about a two-vehicle rollover.
Investigators determined a passenger car was heading north on Main Street and drove into the path of an SUV.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office says the SUV lost control and flipped onto its roof after striking a guardrail.
Wilson and other passengers were taken to the hospital, but there is no update right now on any of the other passengers.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, January 27. 2025
The accident is still under investigation.

Amy Lynne (Reynolds) Wilson, age 53 of Vincennes, IN and formerly of Lawrence County, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was born April 12, 1971, in Olney, IL to Connie (Reynolds) Higgason.
Her true love in life was her family…especially her grandkids. She took great pride in being ‘Mimi”. Amy had a passion for horses and enjoyed trail riding. Amy loved her dog and best buddy, Mojo.
Many knew her from Good Samaritan Hospital where she worked as a Dietary Aide. Her personality and kindness drew people to her.
Surviving relatives include: her three children- Logan Walker and husband James of Lawrenceville, IL; Hayley Piper and husband Codey of Olney, IL; and Lucas Weger of Dundas, IL: her mother- Connie Higgason and husband Greg: three sisters- Heather Cecil and husband David, Jennifer Blanton and husband David, and Courtney Higgason: three grandchildren- Maverick, Monroe, and Meyers: her long-time partner- Shane Wilson of Vincennes, IN and his son Max: her dog and best buddy- Mojo: her beloved granddog- Goose: and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Celebration of Amy’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at The Port in Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. Cunningham Funeral Home is assisting the family during their time of loss.
