Roy P. Royse - Class Of 1918

Dr. Roy Pearl Royse, M.D., husband of Mabel Clonts Royse, and son of the late Alfred R. and Della Meyers Royse, passed away in Sullivan, Missouri Thursday, February 17, 1983 at the age of 85 years.

Dr. Royse was born August 18, 1897 at Olney, Illinois where he lived his childhood. He graduated from the St. Louis University Medical School in 1925. He had practiced medicine over 50 years, the greater part in the Sullivan-Bourbon, Missouri areas.

Survivors, besides his wife, Mabel are; Vera Tice and husband, Wayne of Valparaiso, Indiana; Karen Dorn and husband, Larry of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ronald Tice, Gerald Rogers and Diane Berman; three great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Royse, two brothers, Victor A. and Virgle I. Royse and one sister, Ethel Royse.

Funeral services conducted from Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, with the Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Sullivan, Missouri.
