Robert Mason Ring, 95, of Springfield, Illinois and formerly of Noble, Illinois died Thursday, December 24, 1992 at the Danville Veteran’s Hospital in Danville, IL. Services held at the Hosselton, Bookhout & Englemeir Funeral Home in Noble, with burial in the Noble Cemetery.

Mr. Ring was born November 24, 1897 in Noble, Illinois the son of Eli and Lula (Henry) Ring. He married Audrey Hawkins, who preceded him in death.

He was a retired state employee. Mr. Ring was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Springfield, IL, the Order of the Eastern Star and Scottish Rites, and was a 70 year member of Heritage Lodge #356 of Albion.

Survivors include one son, Dr. Ned Ring of Danville, IL; one daughter, Martha Jean Radford of Rockford, IL; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; parents; two brothers; one sister and one grandchild.
