Frank L. Kinkade - Class Of 1913

Frank Launer Kinkade Sr., 100, of Peoria, Illinois, died Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 1994, at the Lutheran Home, where he had resided the past five years,

Born February 7, 1894, in Lawrenceville, Illinois to George Wilson and Alice M. (Launer) Kinkade, he married Gladys Falley on July 15, 1926, in Peoria. She preceded him in death in 1971. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are one son, Frank L. Jr. of Peoria; one daughter, Karen Falley Johnson of Reston, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Byron of Kirkwood, Mo.

He was the president of Kinkade Supply and Farm Machinery Co. in Peoria and Morton for 42 years, retiring in 1966. He was a World War I Navy veteran. He attended the University of Minnesota.

He was a member of Knox Country Club in Galesburg, the Peoria Sportsman's Club and the Illinois Hardware Dealers Association. He attended First United Methodist Church in Peoria.

Services held at Wilton Mortuary. The Rev. Dr. Francis Johnson will officiate. Burial in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
