Francis Sylvester Brassier, 69 of E. St. Louis, Illinois died last night, Tuesday, September 9, 1958, in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he had been a patient 26 days.
A native of Olney, Illinois, Mr. Brassier was born March 16, 1889 in Olney a son of John Thomas Brassier and Susan E.(Shepherd) Brassier.
Mr. Brassier was a retired timekeeper for the Army Engineers depot at Granite City, Illinois
His wife, Mrs. Helen (Volmer) Brassier preceded him in death.
Survivors are a son, Francis V. Brassier, E. St. Louis; a daughter, Mary Helen, wife of Vernon Touchette, E. St. Louis; five grandchildren; a sister, Sister Mary Theresa of the Ursuline Order; and a brother, John Brassier, California.
Mr. Brassier was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Elizabeth’s church, E. St. Louis.
The funeral will be held at the Burke Funeral Home in E. St. Louis and at St. Elizabeth Church for Mass. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
