Miss Mary Emily Craig, age 68, of University City, Missouri, a former resident of Olney, and for many years Treasurer of the Christian Women’s Benevolent Association in St. Louis, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 1953 at Christian Hospital in St. Louis.

Miss Craig was born in Olney on January 11, 1885 daughter of Eli Frank Craig and Harriett E. (Nelson) Craig.

Miss Craig was very active in the affairs of the association, which operates the Christian Hospital, and a home for the aged as well as a home for mothers and babies, in St. Louis.

She was the only surviving member of the family of the late Sheriff and Mrs. Frank Craig.

The body is being brought to Olney by the Schaub Funeral Home who will announce funeral plans later.

Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.
