Charles L. Wimberly, 59 of Auburn, Illinois, formerly of Olney died Monday, May 24, 1999 at his home. Graveside services held in the Hope Chapel at Crest Haven Memorial Park east of Olney. Zirkle Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Wimberly was born January 1, 1940 in Olney, the son of Charles E. and Sarah Elizabeth (Ivy) Wimberly. He married Iva Foley, June 30, 1982 in Springfield. She survives.

Mr. Wimberly was a self-employed mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Iva Wimberly of Auburn; one son, Daniel Wimberly of Rockford; one daughter, Debra Wimberly of Olney; two sisters, Betty Sommers of Olney and Barbara Wood of Sumner; three step-daughters, Angie Banchi of Springfield, Serena Disbrow of St. Louis, Mo. and Dawn Bennett of Springfield; three grandsons; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Dwayne.
