Maurice W. Ditch, 58 of Olney died Thursday, August 7,1997 at his home. There are no funeral services. The body was cremated. Benson-Grove Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ditch was born June 8, 1939 in Olney, the son of Delbert W. and Myrtle M. (Stoltz) Ditch. He married Mary E. Nicholas August 28, 1989 in Henderson, Kentucky.

He was a welder at Brunswick in Olney. Before Brunswick, he worked for Indian Refinery in Lawrenceville for five years.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Joe Ditch and his wife Judy of Lawrenceville; two step-daughters, Debbie Jones and husband, Gary and Lisa Robinson both of Olney; three  sisters, Agatha Weiss of Olney, Rowena Harmon of Hawaii and Elizabeth Carol of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Tyler Ditch and Travis Ditch both of Lawrenceville; one step-grandson, Joshua Robinson of Olney and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Erval Ditch
